In recent years, a wave of “challenges” on social networks like Tiktok has endangered many people. In some cases, they can even lead to death.

In 2023, a Chinese needed help to remove a lamp that he had put in his mouth to make a challenge. The object was blocked and ended up in the hospital.

The case took place in the city of Yuyao, in the province of Zhejiang, at 1,200 km from Beijing.

The doctors explained that a person can even put a lamp in the mouth, but it is difficult to remove because the muscles turn.

To ensure patient safety, a medical intervention must be carried out to expand the jaw.

Also in 2023, a 42 -year -old rural worker died after taking a whole bottle of Cachaça to win a bet in Goiás.

It was in the district of Santo Antônio do Rio Verde, in the municipality of Catalão, in the south -eastern state. The city has 113,000 inhabitants, 257 km from the capital Goiânia.

A witness said that the man would earn two beer boxes if he had the liter of Cachaça. A client of the bar warned he could die.

The case was recorded at the police station as a natural death. And no investigation was opened because there were no crime tests. The witnesses saw that the man acted by his will.

Cachaça is a high alcoholic drink (from 38 to 48%) and therefore should be consumed only in small volumes.

In May/23, a Chinese streamer named Sanqiange died after eating a great volume of vodka during live broadcast.

The 34 -year -old influencer participated in a challenge in the Chinese version of the Tiktok platform, in which people were encouraged to drink a large amount of alcohol in a short time.

The video soon took control of the Internet, but after a series of complaints, it was removed from the platform.

The challenge known as “PK” spread through the Douyin platform – the Chinese version of Tiktok – and several Chinese streamers, including Sanqiange, have joined this practice.

At the time of the broadcast, the streamer competed with two other influencers and the consequence of the defeat was to drink a drink known as “Baijiu”, also called “Chinese vodka”.

The fact that this drink has a significantly high alcohol content compared to other similar drinks is noteworthy, can reach up to 60%!

According to friends and family, the influencer consumed at least four bottles of Bajiu!

Discounted, Sanqiange was found by a friend a few hours after the end of the live broadcast.

The streamer even received help, but, according to the information on the family, he was already lifeless.

The extract of the transmission in which the influencer consumes the drink became viral on the platform and many people have even shared the video after becoming aware of the boy’s death.

At the time, Douyin stressed that it is forbidden to record videos that consume alcohol during live broadcasts and may entail the exclusion of the platform user.
