The work presented in the United States suggests that the cause of the allergies could be closer than we imagine

The research has shown that there are high levels of allergens for dogs and cats, as well as β – d glucani (BDG), which are found on the fungal cell phones and endotoxins, which are bacterial toxins that are found in the environment in cell phones.
“The BDGs are found on the walls of the fungal cells and have been found in many environments and surfaces, causing symptoms of chronic airways irritation. Endotoxin is a powerful inflammatory agent and a negative gram gram bacteria marker,” says Hana Rurno, the main author of the study.

How was the study done?
To conduct the study, the researchers created telephone models with dimensions and surface similar to a real smartphone. The levels of allergens, BDG and endotoxins of 15 volunteers have been measured. In addition, the models were cleaned as part of the test with the use of electrostatic wipes and toals with isopropyl alcohol.
