Santa Catarina Isa “JapoNega” didn’t even think about modeling until she posed unassumingly for a friend in 2020. Discovered on social by a scout, she has since taken on the purpose of breaking standards and represent the hybridization of the Brazilian population. “I am a black and yellow woman who is looking for true representation in the sector”, says she neotop, who also fits the curvy line, that is, outside the standards of thin women.
Born in Florianópolis and residing in Palhoça, Santa Catarina, Isadora Satie still has a unique beauty and an exceptional personality. And she carries in her veins – and also in the nickname – the typical mix of country breeds.
“Japonega” – a nickname he has been proud to emphasize since childhood – was unveiled by Claudio Mignoni’s Model ARO. Since his discovery, in the midst of the pandemic until today, he has starred in campaigns for renowned brands such as Vivara, Pantene, Farm and Natura, as well as parading at the São Paulo Fashion Week and editorials in prestigious publications such as Elle, Marie Claire and Vogue Portugal, as well as Vogue Brasil, where he rose to the rank of cover star.
At 28, Isadora Satie (“u Isa ‘Japonega’ – call me whatever you like”, reiterates with a smile) did not have catwalks and photo shoots as a professional lens. She has a degree in Journalism and Urban Dances and has dedicated herself to teaching in dance schools in her hometown, as well as occasional actions in social projects in Florianópolis.
“The work in fashion started almost suddenly. Until then, my goal was to work as an Urban Dances teacher,” she recalled.
