Thin behaviors, ignored symptoms and routine of automatic mode make it difficult to recognize the disorder
Nobody wakes up on a normal day and decides to have depression. It does not arrive with the instruction manual or with the scheduled date. Sometimes it starts with a discreet apathy, a small retreat here, another there. In others, a chronic tiredness disguised as productivity arrives. In many cases, he walks next to anxiety, expanding internal wear and making even more difficult to create the space that is taken from this emotional void – until he occupies the place of everything that was once desire, affection or presence.
According to the Pan American Health Organization (Paho), over 300 million people live with world disorder. In Brazil, one in ten has already been diagnosed with a certain degree of depression. But behind the numbers there is what really matters: unstructured stories, swallowed emotional pressures, trauma that have never been elaborated. And this is precisely where the proposal of TRG – Generative portraction therapy – Methodology developed by IBFT, the Brazilian therapist training institute.
“Depression is known, most of the time, as a chemical imbalance. However, we understand this picture as an attempt at the body to stop an emotional pain that is repeated in silence. Therefore, the treatment of the causes of these symptoms is essential for a definitive result”, explains Jair Soares, psychologist and founder of IBFT.
The routine continues, but the person disappears
Depression is not always dramatic. It can live in forced smiles, hyper -production such as escape, constant irritation or sudden indifference. These are subtle forms of emotional removal that usually go unnoticed even to those who suffer. The body goes, but the real presence disappears. For the expert, many of the students who arrive at the Institute are looking for exactly this type of understanding: learning to see the symptom as a language of the unconscious. “When the causes do not speak, the unconscious reacts through symptoms,” he says.
Alternative treatments
The treatment of depression is fundamental for the control of symptoms. Among the possibilities, the expert recommends the approach of generative portment therapy (TRG), which, according to him, part of the principle according to which each symptom has its emotional logic. Instead of framing the patient on generic labels, the attention is focused on the portment of the unique trajectory of each.
“The proposal of the TRG methodology is to rework the person’s trajectory through protocols that allow you to safely revisit events from childhood to adulthood. This process leads to neurological re -ribilant – not only temporary.
According to the psychologist, “Remedies often soften only symptoms, without treating the actual cause of suffering – and over time they can lead to addiction. It is natural that many people want to leave this cycle behind. We never drive the interruption alone, but what we see in practice is that, since the emotional balance is restored, the doctors themselves evaluate evolution and decide to reduce or suspend use. “This profound understanding makes the difference especially in cases where depression does not evidently manifest itself.” There are people who perceive the hole only when already within it. Before then, he lives by pushing the signs with the belly: sleep that does not come, the will that disappears, the ties that are consumed “, strengthens.
For professional and complementary approaches with a more human, profound and supplementary aspect is a fundamental step. “Depression can also have many names – distinction, depressive episode, burnout – but at the bottom it always brings the same called: something within us must be seen, listened to and care”, concludes Jair Soares.
