The moment of the day we eat is fundamental for our health, according to science


The consumption of many calories in time very late can have serious long -term consequences




The popular idea that dinner in advance is good for health is gaining more and more scientific support. A new study conducted by Catalunya Universitat Oberta (UOC), in collaboration with Columbia University, confirms this perception: consuming over 45% of the calories of the day after five in the afternoon is associated with negative effects on the body.

The research, published in the magazine Nature And led by the doctor and post-dictate researcher Diana Dianaz Rizzolo, professor in the Uoc Health Sciences area, shows that wearing heavy meals in the late afternoon, especially while the night approaches the blood sugar levels. And the consequences can be serious, even in healthy people apparently weigh within the ideal.

Spanish eating habits, in particular lunch and late dinner times, have worried about health specialists. Attention is not only on the quality of the food choices made when hunger meets with the tiredness of the end of the day, but also – and above all – just when these meals are prepared. This new study strengthens the fact that the problem goes beyond the diet: it is the biological clock that is irritated.
