Being in the middle of the woods and, at the same time, with great comfort, is the desire of an increasing number of people. And architecture has found creative ways to guide this rapprochement between people and nature.
An example of this is the Planchonella House in North Queensland, Australia, designed and built by Jesse Bennett Studio.
The idea of the house is to offer joyful spaces, inspire residents and enrich everyday life through close and constant contact with the rainforest, embraced by the construction.
The 280 m² residence features organic and playful lines in the concrete profiles, which appear in a mirror image on the floors and flat roof.
Minimal walls and columns allow for unobstructed views and shared landscaping moments throughout the home.
This interaction and dialogue between inside and outside creates space for a daily life completely surrounded by the forest.

The project also includes a patio, which provides sun, light, ventilation, joy, activity, visual stimulation and entertainment, like an oasis in the midst of greenery.
