Inspired by the apple of love, strawberry candies wrapped in white brigade and red caramel covered have become viral on social networks
The Federal Council of Dentistry (CFO) warns: the success of the moment on social networks – The Strawberry of Love – presents risks. “Hard and sticky foods can break their teeth and damage prostheses or household appliances,” prevents the entity.
Inspired by the apple of love, the candies – a strawberry wrapped in white brigade and covered with red caramel – viral in recent weeks and soon has become a tendency to consumption. But the advice recalls that they were not only the recipes that took social networks. Several videos of users who broke their teeth or lenses of the teeth during the dessert test – and even those who had to pull the prostheses or the device are also circulating after the candy caramel is blocked.
“Patients with devices, lenses or prostheses should not eat hard and sticky foods”, warns Bianca Zambiasi, CFO consultant and doctor in dentistry from Puc-T The other patients, he says, will not escape the risk. “They should take care of the bite and chew.” In case of accidents, the dentist is directed: “He must look for a dental surgeon as soon as possible, for emergency care”.
The dentist advice also recommends further treatments in the case of patients with teeth restoration, especially if it is found in the front teeth. “The ideal is to use a knife to break the caramel and put small pieces in the mouth to minimize risks,” suggests.
Caries Strawberry?
The CFO also warns: the Strawberry of Love recipe contains a high sugar index, combined with the development of caries. “Brush your teeth immediately after ingesting the candies, with particular attention to interdental cleaning,” he says.
