Inspired by Tokyo and Paris architecture, tennis obtains a new version with sustainable materials, technical details and minimalist aesthetic
Veja has the ability to move between different universes and languages without losing identity. This time, the Franco-Brazilian tennis brand joins the Japanese F/CE, known for the minimalist and functional design, to reinterpret Condor Royale in an edition that connects France and Japan for architecture and contemporary gaze to urban culture. The model affects the shops and the Veja website this Thursday 18 September, with the numbering from 33 to 45 and a price of $ 890.
The starting point of this partnership is almost a visual news. In 2017, the founders of F/CE, Satoshi and Asami Yamane, were in Paris and they came across the center of Pompidou, a point of reference for industrial aesthetics and postmodern audacity. This experience, combined with the influence of Kengo Kuma, a Japanese architect who lives in the French capital and moves between tradition and innovation, has become references to the project. So the layers, the clean lines, the plot contrast and the idea of integrated design in design.
This view found in Condor Royale a fertile space for experimentation. For the first time, the model is made of Ripstop, a 100%recycled technical polyester, tears resistant and water repellent. The skin also receives overlapping lines in suede and TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), which strengthen the structure and create a dynamic and elegant appearance. The sole combines the Amazon rubber with synthetic components and mineral silica, balancing performance and sustainability.
