“Paracetamol remains an important option for the treatment of pain or fever in pregnant women. Our recommendation is based on a rigorous evaluation of the available scientific data and we do not find evidence of the fact that the use of acetaminophen during pregnancy causes autism in children”, said the spokesman for the European Agency (Ema), Stefen ThirdStrup.
According to the declaration, in 2019, Ema revised available studies that studied the development of the neurods of children exposed to Acetamin in the uterus and concluded that the results were inconclusive and that no connection could be established with the neurodic development disorders.
