The Department of Health (SES) of Pernambuco confirmed, on Tuesday 30, three suspicious visits of methanol poisoning. Two patients died and a lost vision, but there is still no confirmation that the deaths have been caused directly by the substance.

The cases involve three men, two residents of Lajedo and one by João Alfredo, city of the rural pernambuco, according to TV Globo. They were addressed to the Vitalino hospital in Caruaru, where he received medical treatment. In Pernambuco, the Health surveillance agency Pernambuco (Apevisa) reported that, from notifications, it started inspection actions in drinks distributors.
