Initiatives such as OC Women, Oncoclinicas, strengthen the urgency of personalized assistance models for women’s health

Cancer affects women’s life, overcomes the clinical aspect and affects other dimensions: self -esteem, fertility, relationships, social and professional life. In Brazil, gynecological tumors represent over 13.2% of female diagnoses, according to the National Cancer Institute (Inca), about 32,000 new cases by 2025.

In this context, OC Woman, Oncoclinic & Co Care Line, the largest group dedicated to the treatment of cancer in Latin America, becomes fundamental in offering an integrated and personalized follow-up model that accelerates early detection, strengthens the quality of life and guarantees multi-professional support during the trip.

Since its establishment in 2023, the program implements this proposal through a flow that brings together protocols of multidisciplinary treatments and access to specialists from different areas – from diagnostic investigation to treatment and rehabilitation. Therefore, the patient is continuously accompanied, without fragmentation of care, and has a team by his side to face not only the clinical aspect, but also the issues relating to the quality of life and well -being.

“This approach to the patient contributes to better clinical results, increasing survival rates and reducing complications, as well as making the process more efficient and sustainable. More than providing care, we try to provide women with safety, welcome and the possibility of resuming their lives in front of Beade.

The economic impact of late diagnosis strengthens the importance of this model. According to the relationship “How much does a patient with cancer on?”, 2023, advanced treatment can cost up to 503% more than when it starts soon. “Therefore, the specialized lines of care should be consolidated as a trend in the coming years and Oncoclínica has carried out with OC Woman. In addition to the treatment of cancer, the initiative supports the quality of life and reintegration of women, facing sexuality, self -esteem, body image, motherhood planning and returning to work after treatment”, says Angelica.

The care of the program includes the conservation of fertility and reproductive planning, exceptional fronts of the woman. Where possible, the patient receives an early evaluation of fertility immediately after diagnosis, with eggs and embryo freezing strategies, the use of ovarian functional drugs during chemotherapy and the postponement to specialized clinics.

In addition, the program also includes sexual and emotional health, offering follow -up for sexual rehabilitation, hormonal dysfunctions, libido changes, self -esteem and emotional relationships, with continuous psychological support. Social and professional reintegration has a multi -professional guide for returning to work and adaptation to the routine after cancer. According to Angelica, the integration of these dimensions not only improves the experience of patients, but also generates operational efficiency and cost reduction, making the model sustainable in the health sector.

“Our approach shows that it is possible to unite focusing on the patient with efficient management. This is the future of oncology and OC Woman is an example of how specialized models can generate a clinical and economic impact at the same time”, concludes the doctor.
