When cold, rainy days arrive, hanging your clothes outside to dry can be a real challenge. What in my house takes only an hour in the summer can take almost a day in the winter, and when it rains it’s even worse. This happened to me until I started using this washing machine program that the technician recommended to me during a visit.

Washing machines have a multitude of programs and, often, we don’t know how to make the most of them. One of these is the one I use now, especially when it rains and I don’t want to hang out the clothes in the house.

The double centrifugation method

Clothes hung outdoors can take a long time to dry, don’t always look perfect, and sometimes end up smelling bad and even moldy. However, during one visit, my washing machine technician showed me a little-known method that leaves clothes nearly dry straight from the drum.

I did some research and found that a cleaning specialist, Nicola Lewis (@thisgirlcanorganise)he also showed how it works and it’s worth a try.

The trick is to add an extra spin at the end of the wash, using the “Drum/Spin” option or a similar program. With this simple step, the washing machine extracts more water from the clothes and significantly reduces the moisture content of the clothes coming out of the drum.
