Different blackberry jam: taste and innovate in the appetizers

To welcome friends home for a delicious evening of snacks and drinks, how about surprising them with a delicious homemade blackberry jam with gin? The recipe can be deliciously combined with breadsticks or various cheeses!

And it doesn’t stop there: the gin gives the recipe a unique flavor, without adding too many calories to the jam. There is thus room for the tasty sweetness of the blackberry and its rich texture when paired with appetizers.

Don’t make your mouth water! Find out below the step-by-step recipe for a delicious cranberry jam with gin:

Ingredients for blueberry jam with gin

  • 450 g of blackberries
  • 1 cup (tea) of sugar
  • ½ lemon juice
  • 30 ml of gin
  • 5 pieces of juniper

Method of preparation

Wash the blackberries well under running water and transfer them to a bowl. Cover with water and let it soak for 10 minutes. Then remove the blackberries from the dip and remove the stems from them.

In a medium saucepan, place the blackberries, sugar, juniper and lemon. Stir and bring the pan to the heat and leave it on high heat until it starts to boil, at that moment lower the heat and let it cook, stirring occasionally (if you want, mash the blackberries with a spoon). Add the gin and cook until it reaches the desired point. With a ladle, transfer the still hot jam into a glass jar and set aside.
