New year-end attraction in Serra Gaúcha, the “Viagem de Natal” show will be presented in an inflatable structure of 5 thousand m²
Serra Gaúcha, in Rio Grande do Sul, attracts many visitors at the end of the year. This is due to the Christmas Luz de Gramado and the Christmas Dream in Canela, events with themed shows, illuminations and parades. But this year the region will have another Christmas attraction: the “Via Viagem de Natal” show, which will be presented from October 28 to January 8 in Latin America’s largest inflatable show venue, the mega dome.
Since last Thursday (6), the Mega Domo has started to swell in Rua José Pedro Piva, a Lower legright at the access clover to Lawn and for the Caracol waterfall. Made with a tarpaulin that has received a flame retardant treatment, the dome uses the same technology as a balloon, except that, in this case, it will be completely fixed to the ground, so as to remain stable even in strong winds. The total space will be about 5 thousand square meters, consisting of three structures that complement each other, and a capacity of 2 thousand seated people, as well as a lobby with VIP area, cafeteria and shop.
The presentation and assembly of the Mega Domo are initiatives of the entertainment company Histórias Incríveis, which held shows such as the opening and closing ceremony of the Copa América in Brazil in 2019, the lighting of the Pira on Olympic Boulevard at the opening of the Rio 2016 Olympics and ceremony of Pope Francis’ visit to Rio de Janeiro in 2013.
The show
“Christmas Trip” tells the story of Miguel, a young man who will experience adventures aboard a Christmas train that travels through Christmas traditions from various parts of the world. Created by executive director and screenwriter Valeria Chalegre and artistic director Edson Erdmann, the 75-minute show was designed in a way that utilizes the entire structure of Mega Domo and is engaging. The lighting, the sound system and the scenography will therefore not only be on the stage, but in the entire space of the inflatable auditorium. “The proposal is that the audience is part of the show, where they are invited to interact with the various elements of the presentation. We want to touch the hearts of the audience, not only for the size of the space, but for the experience they will enjoy”, says Edson Erdmann.
