Determined not to have children, the young woman tells on social media about how she used the removed organ to make an accessory. Look at the pictures!
Convinced she would never get pregnant, 22-year-old Savannah Blouin decided to undergo a surgery to remove the fallopian tubes, a procedure called salpingectomy. The curious thing is that young people decided to use the removed organ to make a kind of necklace pendant. The story, of course, had repercussions as soon as it was shared on social media, receiving both surprise and critical comments.
“I had my fallopian tubes removed because I always knew I didn’t want to have children,” she said recently. Needtoknow.online. The idea of the young woman, who lives in Connecticut, in the United States, was also one reaction to the decision of the Court of Cassation which in June this year overturned the constitutional right to abortion. According to Savannah, wearing her necklace makes her feel empowered in relation to her body, even if that wasn’t the purpose of the surgery. “No [o pingente] thinking of inspiring someone, it was because I thought it would be cool. (…) I didn’t do it for the Internet, I just thought it would be fun to show and I posted it months later “he said in one of the videos he recorded.
unusual decision
On his Tik Tok profile, he tells how the procedure for creating the pendant was: the tubes were cast in resin and then finished, placing them in a small transparent container. “I’m certainly a weird person, and when I realized I was removing the fabric, I was thrilled to be able to look at them,” she said. The young woman also reported that she had decided to remove the tubes instead of having a tubal ligation because, given her young age, the procedure could reverse over the years, which she did not want.
Among the comments there are those who define the necklace as “disgusting”, others who like the idea and many who are impressed by the small size of the tubes. In one of the videos, Savnnha explains it they underwent pathological analysis after surgery, before delivery.
