World Championships: recipe for pljeskavica, the Serbian quasi-hamburger

This Thursday (24), Brazil faces its first World Cup opponent in search of the cup: the Serbia🇧🇷 This is not a country famous for its cuisine, but there is one particularly tasty dish that can make you fall in love with Serbian cuisine! It’s about pljeskavicaa Serbian “almost hamburger”🇧🇷

“Almost” because the dish looks like the famous sandwich, even if it’s not. In fact, it’s like a hamburger made with pork, beef and lamb, all together. And this piece is served in a pita with onions, greens and a tasty feta sauce. This is in the original recipe, of course.

Here, we will brazilianize the pljeskavica, giving a touch more like us. If you want to try the rival’s signature dish, but with a Brazilian taste, this recipe is for you! Watch the video below on how to prepare this delight:

Now that you’ve played the video, take note of the ingredients and check the step by step from the recipe of (almost) Serbian burger in detail.

Ingredients of Pjeskavica🇧🇷

Hamburger:

  • Ground beef (can be beef, pork, or lamb)
  • Sausage
  • Bacon
  • Seasonings to taste (salt, paprika, pepper, garlic and onion)

Sauce:

  • 170 g of yoghurt
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of green odor
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1/2 lemon
  • salt and pepper

Method of preparation:

Mix the minced meat with the sausage, bacon and spices. Place the meat in the fridge for at least 2 hours so that the flavors blend well and the mixture is very consistent. Take the meat with wet hands and assemble the hamburger. Then you can use a frying pan or grill to fry the burger.

For the sauce, simply beat all the ingredients and mix well. As for vegetables, our suggestion is a cabbage salad and as for bread, you can use a Syrian and also a hamburger to serve.
