Six Brazilian airports will have cheaper fares from January 2023
The National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) announced on Friday (25) the reduction of boarding fees at Galeão airports (GIG), in Rio de Janeiro; Natal (ASAG), in Rio Grande do Norte; of Confins (CNF), in Minas Gerais; Brasilia (BSB), in the Federal District; and Guarulhos (GRU) and Viracopos (VCP), in São Paulo. The rule will enter into force on 1 January 2023.
The ceilings for embarkation, disembarkation, parking, storage and handling costs (procedure that involves moving baggage from the scale to the conveyor belt at the destination airport) were reduced by -26.4% (with the exception of the International Airport of Natal, which had a reduction of 18.2%). The provision complies with the Simple Flight Law, which promoted the extinction of contributions from airport concessionaires to the National Civil Aviation Fund.
