The CEUB teacher explains that this stimulus is vital for a person with special needs to enjoy a healthy life and that everyday obstacles must be eliminated.

“In the case of people with disabilities, in particular, stimulation, education and active leisure time in childhood and adolescence are prerequisites for a healthier and more quality adult life. For this to happen, the elimination of barriers of all kinds and the creation of opportunities to participate on an equal footing with other people are needed,” completes Hetty.

Theory + practice = positive result

Orientation that “marries” with the recommendations of various physical education academics. For many years, there have only been reports from people with disabilities about the importance of exercise. Here in 2019 the research of Fapeam (Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Amazonas) appeared.
