Ingredients:

  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 100 g of diced bacon
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 2 cups cabbage (chopped)
  • 4 cups boiling water (tea)
  • 2 cups uncooked parboiled rice
  • 1 cube of chicken stock

Method of preparation:

  1. Season the shank with salt and pepper.
  2. In a frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat and brown the ham cubes, add the bacon and fry until golden brown.
  3. Add the onion, garlic and cabbage and saute for 3 minutes.
  4. Add the rice and the chicken cube dissolved in the water.
  5. Lower the heat and cook in a covered pan until the rice softens.
  6. Serve immediately.
