Have you ever heard someone say you can’t have a cup of coffee in the summer heat? Look, then you’ve probably never heard of the wonder that is the… cold beer! With this recipe you can enjoy your coffee in all seasons of the year.

Have you heard of cold beer? Despite the gringo name, the drink is nothing more than coffee brewed in iced water. In this way, you guarantee a cold drink very different to cool off in summer. This, of course, without forgetting the Brazilians’ favorite coffee.

Cold beer

Weather: 30 min (+15 hours of rest)

Performance: 1 portion

Difficulty: easy

Ingredients:

  • 600 ml of cold filtered or room temperature water
  • 130 g of ground coffee (preferably coarsely ground)

Way of doing:

  1. In a jug, add the coffee and water and mix
  2. Close the container with and let it rest for at least 15 hours and a maximum of 18 hours at room temperature or in the refrigerator
  3. After this period, strain all the liquid and transfer it to another container.
  4. When preparing drip coffee, avoid the paper filter and opt for, for example, a cloth filter, an option that saves energy, water, is sustainable and reusable
  5. Finally serve with ice, creams, vegetable milks or juices. Another option is to replace the cold water in the recipe with coconut water. The result will be a sweeter drink.
