You must be tired of hearing “it’s pave o ‘pacumê'” every time we talk about chocolate pavé, right? But it is impossible to resist! After all, the delicious dessert has a tradition both in the recipe and in the uncle’s classic joke. Even so, know that it’s not just people who appreciate its delicacy.
This week, the Brazilian dessert was awarded internationally. Yes the Brazilian flooring been in 3rd place in the ranking of the best “cakes” in the world, although not exactly a cake. The list, curated by the TasteAtlas website (which collects recipes from around the world), also mapped recipes such as sweet cakes and cheesecake.
More than 100 sweets from different parts of the world participated in the race for first place. Platform users, critics and gastronomy professionals were responsible for evaluating all dishes, including our wonderful pavé.

Chocolate soup
Time: 1h (+2h of fridge)
Performance: 6 portions
Difficulty: easy
Ingredients:
- 400 g of melted semi-sweet chocolate
- 1/2 cup (tea) of milk
- 2 jars of cream
- 1 pack of champagne biscuits
Roof
- Grated chocolate to decorate
Method of preparation:
- In a bowl, mix the melted chocolate with the cream.
- Immediately afterwards, in a 20 cm diameter refractory, intersperse layers of biscuit moistened in milk and the chocolate mixture, finishing with the chocolate.
- Sprinkle with the chopped chocolate and then put in the fridge for 2 hours.
- If desired, decorate with cherries.
- Serve immediately.
