Will ‘Vicious Bear’ end the career of Elizabeth Banks? The actress and filmmaker has spoken

“It’s a gigantic risk.”

    Elizabeth Banks has joked about the possibility that her new film, ‘Vicious Bear’, will become the end of her career.

    In an interview with Variety, the actress and director spoke about the risks of getting involved in such a dark film. Plus all the preparation she went through to bring it to life – suffice to say, she certainly induces a nightmare world.

    ‘Vicious Bear’ is a gigantic risk,” admitted the actress. “It could be the end of my career!

    I don’t recommend anyone do this, but if you go to the depths of the internet and see real animal attacks on humans, it’s very shocking.” he commented. “I love gore. I grew up with ‘Evil Dead’. The gore is part of the fun.

    Also, the actress talked about trying to make the movie look as real as possible — the only way you can believe the movie will work is for the audience to think the animal is real.

    It had to look like a National Geographic documentary about a bear doing cocaine,” He said. “Not in a silly way. It couldn’t look like animation.

    ‘Vicious Bear’ is a thriller based on a true story from 1985, about a bear that consumed several bags of cocaine, which had been abandoned by a smuggler.

    The film is directed by Banks and written by Jimmy Warden. In the cast we can find Alden Ehrenreich, Keri Russell, Ray Liotta, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and Kristofer Hivju.

    They will also be part of the project: Margo Martindale, Christian Convery, Brooklynn Prince, Kahyun Kim, and Scott Seiss.

    ‘Vicious Bear’ opens in theaters on March 31, 2023, in Spain.
