With shades of blue and purple, representing space, the Xbox Stellar Shift controller offers an improved design and a dynamic theme and will be sold in Brazil
A Microsoft introduced a new special edition colorway for the Xbox controller this week called Stellar Shift. As the name suggests, the novelty is based on space and mixes bright blue and purple tones to generate an effect that would simulate the “fascinating feeling of deep space”. The release also features an exclusive dynamic wallpaper and, for the first time in the special edition series, will be officially brought to Brazil.

The accessory arrives drawing attention to the combination of purple and blue, in a plastic material with a finish that brings tiny shiny points, which represent the brightness of the stars. Most of the buttons and the back cover are less conspicuous, but still have a modified, slightly bluish shade of gray. The face buttons (X, A, B, and Y) also got a different treatment, with the letters in a variation of purple.
It’s not just the appearance that the Stellar Shift model makes changes – the novelty has some constructive changes to provide a more comfortable grip. Unlike the standard controller, the textured sides have a rubberized finish, making it even less slippery. In addition to this, as is customary with the company’s special editions, buyers will have access to a console-exclusive dynamic wallpaper replicating what appears to be a nebula.
Another highlight is that this is the first in the special color series of Xbox Series X|S controllers be officially sold in Brazil. The Aqua Shift and Lunar Shift models were not brought to the country. The only limited edition accessory of the current generation brought here was the commemorative version of the 20 years of Xboxin November 2021, curiously with more accessible values, even with the commemorative theme.
