Fans can breathe a sigh of relief: the most-watched superhero series of 2022 won’t stop!
Boys showrunner Eric Kripke, who is currently directing the final episode of Season 4, confirmed on Twitter that this episode will not be the last of the series, paving the way for a Season 5, although that hasn’t happened yet. Officially announced by the Prime Video platform.
“Because you’re wondering! We’ve been filming since last August. I’m here to produce and direct the season 4 finale. No, not the end of the series, there will be more! Most importantly, season 4 will be airing…at some point in the near future.”
It’s also worth noting that The Boys is expanding into a franchise with an upcoming spin-off called Gen V, which centers on a team of young superheroes called the G-Men (a kind of irreverent parody of the famous X-Men). There is no doubt that Prime Video is not required to renew one of its flagship programs for an additional season!
Adapted from Garth Enn and Darrick Robertson’s acclaimed comic book, The Boys’ fourth season, which has yet to be filmed, will soon be released exclusively on Amazon Prime Video!
