‘Joker 2’: actors and extras reveal abuse on set

The media sources said that the workers, especially the extras of the film, filed a complaint because they are upset that they are not given a break or time to go to the bathroom.

According to extras working at the Warner Bros. studio. in Burbank, they are forced to work more than 2 hours straight and if they need to go to the bathroom they are not given time off. they are even forbidden to drink water.

One of them really wanted to go to the bathroom while they were in the process of setting up the cameras to shoot, but to ask permission he had to explain to an assistant director why it was urgent.

According to reports, when the extra returned from the bathroom, the aide scolded him for seeing him drink another glass of water and told him that this would only make him want to go to the bathroom again.

The extras also reported hearing another assistant director complain that they were going to the bathroom a lot and imply that they were doing it on purpose to stop working.

“I’ve never had to go to the bathroom that many times, how many do they do there? Because they certainly don’t use it.”

TMZ also reports that the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) received an official complaint about this mistreatment on the set of “Joker: Folie à Deux” and is already investigating the situation.

Curiously, this isn’t the first time the Todd Philips film production has run into trouble related to bathroom breaks.

TMZ also reported in October 2018 that during the filming of “Joker” extras were stuck on the Brooklyn subway for over 3 hours and had to relieve themselves on the tracks.

“Joker: Folie à Deux” will be released on October 4, 2024 and for now it is only known that the film will have musical parts and will star Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.
