The actress Paula Oliveira paraded for the fifth time as drum queen of the Grande Rio Samba School this Sunday evening, 19, at the Marquês de Sapucaí in Rio de Janeiro.

“It is a wonderful, delightful responsibility to be welcomed by this community, by this battery in such a special moment which is Carnival, which speaks of culture, which speaks of our people, which speaks of freedom, I am always very moved, I am very happy for the fifth year,” the actress said in an interview with Globe TV.

Paola was accompanied by her boyfriend, samba player Diogo Nogueira, who helped compose the samba of the Duque de Caxias school, in a storyline that paid homage to Zeca Pagodinho.

“It is an honor to be able to honor a character like Zeca Pagodinho, a great artist, a loved one in all of Brazil. It was super exciting to do samba and now we see the Brazilian people embrace him in this beautiful and wonderful carnival that Great Rio is doing it” , declared the sambist.
