After many losses, including the painful deaths of Henry (Lamar Johnson) and Sam (Kevon Woodard) in episode 5, Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) finally arrive in Jackson, Wyoming.
In episode 6 of The Last of Us, titled “Kin,” Joel finds his brother Tommy (Gabriel Luna) finding his place in the larger community. Even to the point of having a wife, Maria (Rutina Wesley), who is expecting their child.
Although happy to have found his brother, Joel confides in Tommy that he worries about his mental health and reveals that Eli is immune. He asks to take the young girl to Les Lucioles because he is afraid that he will not be able to keep her until the end.
Except the Fireflies flew into the Utah hospital. Joel and Ellie don’t have time to turn back when they are attacked by a group of robbers. If they manage to escape from them, it is not without skirmishes. Joel is punched by one of them during the fight. Episode six of The Last of Us ends with Joel bleeding from his horse and Ellie panicking.
More tears flow from the audience
Joel and Ellie’s relationship develops from episode to episode, and the tragic event that occurs at the end of episode 6, which acts as a cliffhanger, suggests a new stage of rapprochement between the two heroes. As in the previous installments, fans were in tears and PLS as The Last of Us chapter six.
