The Last of Us: Filming these videos that should delight fans

Expected on HBO In 2023, a television adaptation of the HBO video game The Last Of Us is still underway in Canada. Officially released in November 2020, a series written and produced by Craig Mazzin (Chernobyl) and Neil Druckman is increasingly revealing new, rather impressive leaked images that reveal some of the elements of the story.

Aside from the prestigious technical team that came together to compose the series, fans were delighted to learn that Argentine composer Gustavo Santaola, who composed the soundtrack for both games, would sign the music for the series. Therefore, fans should expect an exciting adaptation of the video game franchise, with respect for the spirit of the original material and some freedom, which will enhance the show’s narrative, as these new filming videos indicate.

Among these videos, we find one that should reassure video game fans as we see Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, two former Game of Thrones players cast as Joel and Ellie.

They both broke into the building, and Eli stood in front of the window to open Joel from the inside. This maneuver is one of the main mechanics of The Last of Us video games, at least in the first part.

Another video shows people demonstrating against FEDRA, the federal disaster management agency allied with the Army that controlled quarantine zones and had to clash with small groups, particularly the Fireflies, Hunters and the Washington Liberation Front.

These images may be a sign of a return to the series, as in the first part, FEDRA’s control over quarantine zones is reduced, but its power remains intact as Joel, Ellie and Tess follow as they attempt to reach the Capitol building. Moreover, according to several theories, including Eurogamer, in the video this sequence will take place in the Pittsburgh quarantine area, an abandoned place visited by Joel and Ellie in the game.

Finally, the latest video introduces us to a new character that is not in the video game franchise. This is Perry, played by his translator Jeffrey Pierce (who played the tribe in video games). “Which is part of a whole new branch that has a huge impact on in-game developments”.

He said this character will reveal something new about the game and bring it “More sense”. Therefore, fans of the first hour should be excited about this new character that we will discover in the series, which is expected in 2023 on HBO across the Atlantic. The Last of Us does not yet have a broadcaster in France.
