the verdict By counting the crimes committed in 15 popular detective series, Theslotbuzz can reveal that Gotham is the most violent series, with a total of 1,385 murders during the show’s five seasons. That’s an average of 14 people killed per episode.
And then ? Dexter is the second most violent series with 920 murders committed in eight seasons, third on the podium is Ozark and its 241 crimes. Breaking Bad and its spin-off Better Call Saul round out the top five with 173 and 98 kills, respectively.
Finally, it should be noted that English series are “a little” violent compared to American ones, with Sherlock and Peaky Blinders ranking seventh and tenth. And that the most violent character is Eduardo Dorrance, alias Bane, who is responsible for 336 murders in the Gotham series. This is almost a quarter of the crimes committed during the entire show!
