‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ is achieving a few records within the MCU. However, not all of them are good news.

‘Ant-Man 3’ has received diverse opinions from the audience and critics. The film, which kicked off Phase 5 of Marvel, has suffered the biggest box office drop in franchise history.

The multiverse movie grossed an amount of $106 million at its premiere. However, after some negative reviews and discouraging word of mouth, the film has only generated 32.2 million in its second week in theaters (taking its collection from the US as a reference). This represents a gigantic drop of 69%, between its first and its second week in theaters.

Has arrived to surpass the previous film that held this title: ‘Black Widow’, which had suffered a decrease of 67.8%. ‘Eternals’ also fell 62% in its day. This time around, this is a terrible start to Phase 5 of the MCU.

This start of the phase has finally brought Jonathan Majors in his role as Kang the Conqueror, after his debut in ‘Loki’. The film’s two post-credits scenes also showed more about Kang, hinting at his importance to the future of the MCU.

The second one showed Tom Hiddleston’s Loki and Owen Wilson (as Mobius) looking at Kang’s variant, Victor Timely, in a different era.

Peyton Redd recently revealed that this scene had not been shot specifically for ‘Ant-Man 3’, but had been taken directly from the second season of ‘Loki’.

It’s a scene from the second batch of ‘Loki’. Victor Timely is another variant from the comics,” Reed commented.

I love Jonathan Majors, his look, his voice and his ‘Frederick Douglass’ hair. In that scene it can be interpreted that there will be more variants and that, perhaps, this is the next one that we see. We liked that idea.”
