Evangeline Lilly Embarrassed For Her Work On ‘Lost’

In an interview on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, Evangeline Lilly confessed some aspects of her acting career.

Among them, he talked about his time in the series “Lost” in 2004. Before that, he had already participated in other projects such as “The Hurt Locker” or “Smallville” (whose actors have changed a lot 11 years later) , but her role as Kate Austen catapulted her to worldwide fame.

In “Lost” she was one of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815, who became an integral part of the wreckage crew.

Although she was nominated for Best Actress in a TV Drama Series at the 2007 Golden Globe Awards for this performance, the actress confessed that she can’t see herself on the show without feeling embarrassed:

“We had ‘Lost’ parties where the cast would get together to watch the show, and when it was a Kate-centric episode, I loved curling up in a hole and wanting to die because I knew it was bad. And to this day I stand by the fact that I can watch the first two seasons and cringe because I’m not very good.”

Although in the first two seasons of ‘Lost’ she did not feel comfortable with her character, for the third she was forced to solve the problems surrounding her work:

“I feel like Season 3 was a turning point, where I went from ‘panic, play, record from the hip, feel it, follow my instincts’ to ‘I hate this, I don’t want to do this, take me from here’, to ‘oh, I guess if I’m here and I’m stuck and I’m going to stay, I should figure it out.’ And that was in season 3, I started trying to learn my trade.”

Evangeline Lilly Turns Down ‘X-Men’ Role

In the same interview on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, Evangeline Lilly also confessed that before she played Hope in Marvel, she could have been part of the “X-Men” universe.

But she didn’t because she wasn’t attracted to superhero stories, which changed when she got closer to Marvel movies.

The most shocking thing about the case is that the actress turned down this offer from none other than Hgh Jackman himself, who then asked her if she would be interested in participating in the “X-Men” movies:

“I was like, ‘No. I don’t care I don’t care I was like, “I feel like an idiot because I’m talking to an X-Men! The X-Men! And I tell him, “No, that’s not attractive.” Like what?!’ I felt so rude!”
