Of course, the Russos know what a global hit tastes like: they’re responsible for some of Marvel’s most successful movies, including ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (one of the highest-grossing movies in movie history), and they also have Parallel plans within the Netflix movie catalog thanks to two other action franchises, ‘The Invisible Agent’ starring Ryan Gosling and ‘Tyler Rake’ with Chris Hemsworth. While on that side we await the arrival of ‘The Invisible Agent 2’ and ‘Tyler Rake 2’, the Russo’s are also beginning to leave their mark on Amazon Prime Video with this ‘Citadel’, which is one of the most anticipated series of 2023.
As they say from the platform, ‘Citadel’ is the debut of a global franchise. Each series in the franchise will be created, produced and shot in a specific region, and starring great local talent.. Series in Italy with Matilda De Angelis and in India with Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu are already underway. For now, we review everything we know about the first installment, set on British soil.
