Tomorrow Belongs to Us: ‘William Gets Involved in Intrigue Around the Curtiss’ Kamel Belghazi Reveals

What is your assessment of William’s development since your arrival? Tomorrow belongs to us ?

Kamel Belghazi: very positive assessment. I am very pleased with William’s progress. It is a joint effort of screenwriters, dialogue writers, producer, director and actors. I think the character has a good orientation. He has many adventures, but also beautiful ones. There are feelings, laughter and tears. It’s going in a direction that I like anyway.

The Danes were recently at the center of considerable intrigue over the death of Regis (Francis Perrin). Were you surprised that the criminals killed William’s father?

Yes! I didn’t expect that. You never expect a character like that to die, especially since Reggie arrived so recently. After that, there are characters who are there to serve the plot. I don’t know if the writers know this in advance or not, but this possibility is always there for each of us. When a character comes to serve a plot and it’s over, we can legitimately question his durability. The screenwriters have two options: either kill him or make him go. Sometimes the actor doesn’t want to anymore or maybe it’s done in the first place.

We talked to Francis about it. He really liked his character and the series. If he was still there, I’d be happy to continue playing with him. Then it is no more, this is life. We have seen characters disappearing in the series, this is nothing new (laughs). It also opens up a field of possibilities for other stories.

Bridget escaped from prison. Catherine Jacob Will he ever return to the series?

I have no idea.

aurora (Julie Debazak) and William went through a major crisis and almost ended their marriage forever. Fortunately for us, the couple was given a second chance. Do you think it was necessary to shake them up a bit?

Yes! as in life. The most interesting thing is to be able to make things happen and have the characters experience situations that make them a little bit confused. In this case, we saw that the Danish couple was ultimately a fragile couple. Through this plot, we discover that the couple does not care much. However, we also realize that when a couple is solid and has common ground, it resists such adventures.

Do you wish this separation had lasted longer to see them develop on their own?

It is complex. It is true that we say a lot, but we see things a little less. We see William leave, but we don’t see him living in his hotel room or going about his daily life. It would almost be a spin-off if we focused on that. It would take a long time and you can’t focus so much on two characters just because they’re separate. But yes, it might have deserved a bit more scope, although it needs some material.

What awaits Daunir in the next episodes?

A lot of things will happen, especially a little dramatic and difficult. At the same time, there will be a comedy with a big plot between William and his daughter. It will be fun. We had so much fun filming this.

Etienne’s Past (Patrick Guerino) is about to reappear and Dorian (Ryan Huber) may be at risk during subsequent episodes. What can you tell us about it?

William is a doctor. He has the role of a savior (laughs). On a more serious note, William will be involved, but in a peripheral way, as it concerns the Curtis family more than the Danyers. But since Benedicte (Honorine Magnier) is William’s sister, she’s bound to get involved. Not directly, but enough. This is Patrick Guerino’s first major screenplay, so it’s only natural that it’s focused on his character.

William and Benedict became very close after their father’s death. Can we hope to see them even closer with this plot?

Yes. They will have many supporting scenes. When something delicate happens in the family, it’s good to lean on each other, and Benedict leans a lot on his brother, who is more and more there for him. It’s a bit like the situation we experienced when Regis disappeared. During this period, they became very close.

Saint-Clair Hospital is preparing to welcome two new doctors to its ranks Charlie Noone and Stan Coppet. Could these characters become William’s friends?

Yes. They have a calling for it. There are heroes who have gone and others who have disappeared. As a result, the hospital, which is supposed to be a very important center of the series, has become a little empty of its substance and the human relationships that existed, in particular, the relationship between Samuel (Axel Keener) and William. It was a very strong relationship. They were friends, neighbors and neighbors. In short, they were very close. So at some point, a void was created. These new characters will likely be brought in to fill that void. How and in what proportions? I do not know yet. We must revive the hospital. In any case, the idea is to enrich the relationship with other doctors in the hospital structure and create new friendly poles.

Alexander Varga Will he return to the series?

Yes, he will be back. I traveled with him last week.

We thought we would talk more with the hero Naima Rodrich Now that Lisa is William’s neighbor…

True, but I think Lisa is more involved in the police investigation. But maybe it will come back.

It’s strange, because sometimes we get the impression that they are neighbors, they don’t know each other…

So this is a real topic. I came across this again yesterday or the day before, as I was wondering whether I should address such a familiar character or you. We really don’t know which foot to dance on sometimes. It would be nice to clear things up, I agree. This is a question that many have had with the character of Victoire (Solène Hebert). For a very long time she saw me in the hospital when she was William’s best friend’s girlfriend.

What do you hope for William’s future? Do you have any special wishes for him?

I want him to do a lot of things. Skydiving or going to the mountains. I wish we could actually see Danyers in different situations. I know it’s very difficult to do that in the daily papers, but it would be nice if we could get them out of Sète a little bit. They live by the sea, they could go by boat. They have a lot of opportunities, but it is very difficult to do it. We could lose them on a desert island in the Mediterranean (laughs). William needs to step out of his comfort zone and explore things we haven’t seen in his home yet. You should kiss me a little.

It would be nice to have an ark of disaster with the scoundrels…

William could save people and act like a hero. This is the idea. It would be good if we went in this direction.
