The 64 MB of 3D V-Cache bring the total cache from 76 MB to 140 MB (L2 + L3), but also in this case there are reductions in consumption and temperature, which drop to the same 120 W and 89 ℃ of the more powerful brother , with the boost clock remaining at 5.6 GHz.

The first reviews of the new Ryzen processors with 3D V-Cache were published this Monday (27) and concern only the Ryzen 9 7950X3D. That said, what really impresses is the efficiency and the low level of heat generated by the chip, which even with simpler heatsinks manages to maintain controlled temperatures even in the most intense tasks. This way, tasks that benefit from the extra cache are routed to the CCD with 3D V-Cache, while those requiring higher clocks are routed to the CCD without the technology.

It is important to note that this optimization is user-configurable in BIOS and only works for Ryzen 9 7950X3D and 7900X3D, since Ryzen 7 7800X3D has only one CCD, which has the additional cache. As a complement, the 7900X3D in particular has an interesting core configuration made to take advantage of the different CCDs: each of them has 6 cores activated, symmetrically, instead of having 8 cores in one and 4 cores in the other, as occurs on the traditional 7900X.

The new AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D and 7900X3D are available for purchase now with MSRPs of $699 and $599, respectively. In Brazil, the processors can be found in preorder with rather high prices, starting at R $ 5,199.90 for the 7900X3D and R $ 5,999.90 for the 7950X3D.
