The 2023 edition of the Series Mania Festival, which will take place in Lille from March 17 to 24, has certainly not ceased to amaze us.
After unveiling much of the program at the beginning of February, the international festival dedicated to series from around the world has just announced a guest of honor whose presence in Lille will surely delight fans of Desperate Housewives and Melrose Place.
Actress Marcia Cross indeed joins the list of special guests who will be coming to meet the public and the highly anticipated master classes during this new edition.
Like Brian Cox (Heritage), Filipino Leroy-Beaulier (Emily in Paris), Cédric Clappy (Greek Salad) or Lisa Joy, showrunner of Westworld and president of the jury of the international competition.
For two days in Series Mania, Marcia Cross, who has become a cult figure in American television thanks to her roles as Brie Van de Kemp in “Desperate Housewives” and Kimberly Shaw in “Melrose Place”, will offer the public a master class on Tuesday, March 21, in St. at 5:30 p.m., where he will review his career spanning nearly 40 years.
Although the festival has also entrusted him with carte blanche, which will be held on Wednesday, March 22 at 2:00 pm at the UGC, during which he will present two of his favorite episodes from the series in his filmography.
A filmography that also includes West Coast, Everwood, Quantico, You, in which he participated in season 3, or even Monarch, a new series in France, led by Anna Friel and Susan Sarandon.
Marcia Cross’ presence in Lille isn’t the only announcement made this week by Series Mania, as the Lille festival also revealed on Monday that the first episode of Succession Season 4 will be previewed on Wednesday, March 22. And that Tomer Sisley (Balthazar) and Japanese star Tomohisa Yamashita (Alice in Wonderland, God’s Drops) would also use a master class.
