One of FABR’s big surprises last season, Moura Lacerda Dragons has agreed with former Brown Spiders and João Pessoa Espectros wide receiver Heron Azevedo for 2023. The player is considered one of the leading wide receivers in the history of the PRODUCTION.
Second Instagram profile Map FABR, Heron Azevedo scored 52 touchdowns in his team career. The catcher’s record-breaking season was 2019, when he struck out 14 and helped João Pessoa Espectros in the Brazilian Football League (Americano (BFA League). That year the player was chosen by the FABR Map as the best athlete of the season.
In touch with Valinor Content, Heron Azevedo highlighted the new challenge in his career and promises to remain a constant risk for opposing teams.
– My expectation is to continue to be a problem for opposing defenses and a good weapon for our attack. And I want to help my teammates improve on and off the pitch. I know the victories and medals will come as a result of what each of the Moura Lacerda Dragons does in and out of training this year,” she said.
Speaking of Moura Lacerda Dragons, Heron Azevendo points out that the serious work developed by the team was essential for its arrival. The insolvency practitioner believes the club will continue to evolve and strive for bigger things at FABR.
– Moura Lacerda Dragons is already a well-established team in São Paulo and has been doing serious work for years. In 2022 the team had the best season in its history and we want to keep growing. Our board, coaching staff and players will spare no effort to go further in 2023 – he underlined.
With one of the most successful careers in Brazil, Heron Azevedo is a two-time BFA League champion (2012 for Cuiabá Arsenal and 2019 for João Pessoa Espectros), Vienne Cup champion with the Rio de Janeiro national team (2008), Tournament champion Capital II with Cuiabá Arsenal (2008 ), Pantanal Bowl II Champion with the Mamutes (2008), Sorocaba Bowl Champion with Cuiabá Arsenal (2008). Individually, he was the MVP of the Brasil Bowl in 2012, the Montevideo Bowl in 2014 and the Pantanal Bowl in 2008, as well as collecting call-ups for the Brazil national soccer team, Brasil Onças.
Heron Azevedo is one of the squad by head coach Brian Guzman to help Brasil Onças, in a selective tournament against other teams from the American continent, in June, for the Modality World Championship, to be held in Germany in 2025.
