Ana de Armas responds to criticism of Marilyn Monroe’s portrayal in Blonde

Then the actress explained how difficult it was to hear such negative reviews. “You have the director and other actors that you can always talk to,” continued the artist. “As hard as it is to hear when people don’t like your movie, it is what it is. It wasn’t a movie made to please people. It’s a tough movie to watch.”

I don’t think the movie does anything bad about her. I think it’s the opposite. I think it speaks ill of the environment and the industry, and is sometimes a hard pill to swallow for others in the business.
