Azul airlines announced this Monday an adjusted net loss of 610.5 million reais for the fourth quarter, up 40% from the negative performance a year earlier, according to its balance sheet.
The company reported cash generation measured by earnings before interest, taxes and amortization (EBITDA) of approximately 1.1 billion reais, up 6.9% compared to the same period of 2021.
Net revenues totaled 4.45 billion reais in the three months ended December, an increase of 19.4% in the same comparison.
Azul previously announced that it has closed a deal with aircraft leasing companies responsible for 90% of its leasing liabilities. The airline also said cash flow is expected to be positive in 2024 “and subsequent years” and that after the deals the cash requirement originally projected for 2023 “will now be eliminated”.
