In an interview, an Apple executive revealed that a new Mac Pro is on the way, but the company’s goal today is to improve the battery of the Apple Watch
A apple revealed the watch ultra in 2022 full of novelties, including the longest-lasting battery in the history of the line, alleviating a long-standing problem of the brand’s watches. However, in an interview, an executive confirmed that Apple is still not fully satisfied, and is working to further improve the autonomy of its smartwatches, as well as racing to finalize the transition to Apple Silicon.

In an interview with India Today, Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of worldwide product marketing, acknowledged that there are products that still need efficiency improvements.

He specifically mentions the Apple Watch, Apple’s powerful smart watch which, because it is packed with features, ends up having a high power consumption, arguing that it would benefit from a longer battery life.
Therefore, the brand is working today to find a way to balance the delivery of new features while maintaining a good energy life. Borschers even points out that an indirect solution to the problem is the adoption of a fast charging system, which debuted in Apple Watch Series 7and which supplies 80% of the load in about 45 minutes.
Mac Pro with Apple Silicon may be on the way
With a promised transition completed in two years, ending in 2022, the Mac Pro is the last Mac not to have an Apple Silicon processor. Rumors about the new Mac Pro are hot, and some are even disappointing: presumably, it can count on the M2 Ultra on board and not the long-awaited M2 Extreme, which would have been cancelled.

Now, Borschers has hinted that it’s still on the way, without naming the Mac Pro exactly. Essentially, he stressed that the company intends to run its entire product line on Apple Silicon processors. In this case, the missing device is the new Mac Pro.
Anyway, he didn’t provide any other information about it, but the rumors mention that a new generation of desktops for Apple professionals will be unveiled in the first half of 2023.
