‘Stranger Things’, this is how Hopper will change in Season 5: David Harbor gave a preview

After Jim Hopper was trapped in a Russian prison at the end of “Stranger Things 3,” David Harbor lost more than 75 pounds for the next season of the Netflix series and had a very transformed body.

Hopper’s muscular strength in “Stranger Things 4” was due to him spending a lot of time trapped in prison, malnourished and forced to do hard labor while everyone thought he was dead.

At the end of ‘Stranger Things 4’ Hopper escapes from Russia with Joyce (Winona Ryder) and reunites in the United States with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), so next season is expected to change again.

  • Winona Ryder also appeared ‘Autumn in New York’, which you can watch absolutely free on ViX.

“Stranger Things”, this is how Hopper will change in the 5th season of Netflix

As for what the final season of “Stranger Things” will be, there are already theories about what it will bring for the boys and in the case of the adult characters, David Harbor himself revealed the future of his character.

At the Middle East Film & Comic Con in Abu Dhabi on March 5, 2023, the actor spoke about the series, and in addition to sharing the start date of the new season’s tapings, he talked about what’s in store for Hopper.

“We’re going into season five. I still have a few months to train. However, we start shooting in June and this will be the last season.”

Comparing his physical training now to that of season four, Harbor hinted that now Hopper will return to his healthier, less muscular body because when he gets home he can eat whatever he wants.

“I trained a lot for season four. He (Hopper) was in a very specific position, in that Russian prison. It was about making him a different guy and shedding a layer of himself physically, mentally and emotionally. But now he’s back in town, he’s back in America, where they have cheeseburgers, so he’ll be well fed.”

But even if he doesn’t keep his muscular body, it’s a safe bet that Hopper in the final season of “Stranger Things” will be in danger as he defends his stepdaughter and his friends from the threat that is Vecna and the Upside Down .

David Harbor had already told DiscussingFilm on February 20 that Season 5 is the perfect way to end “Stranger Things” after the series premiered in 2016 and became one of the biggest hits in Netflix history.

“The funny thing is, when I started the show, I never wanted it to end. That’s why I love it. I think it’s a great show, even if I wasn’t in it. We are now almost 9 years away from filming the first season and I think it’s time for it to end. But it is, of course, very bittersweet. You know, there is sadness. But also, we’ve all grown up. It’s time to leave the nest and try other things and different projects.”

David Harbor has capitalized on his “Stranger Things” fame, and as he reports, he’s already been busy with several projects: he appeared in the Netflix movie “We Have a Ghost” and this year he will shoot Marvel’s “Thunderbolts.”
