‘Constantine 2’: Keanu Reeves Says He Talked to James Gunn About Sequel

After almost 20 years, fans of Keanu Reeves and “Constantine” can finally celebrate: “Constantine 2” is coming.

On Saturday (4), Keanu Reeves set up a session on Reddit. There are over 32,000 comments, but a specific response from Reeves has given DC film fans hope that there may be a future for the film.

A Reddit user asked Reeves if he had spoken to James Gunn (responsible for the entire DC Universe) about “Constantine 2”. “Hope we can see you!” added the user. “Yes, and me too,” Reeves replied.

As interesting as Reeves’ response to fans of the actor, film, and fictional character has been, this is nothing new. In September, Deadline reported that Warner Bros. would re-team with Reeves and director Francis Lawrence for “another part” of “Constantine.”

Akiva Goldsman was tapped to write the screenplay and produce the film through his Weed Road Pictures studio alongside Bad Robot. This was before Gunn took over and rebooted the DC Universe. Now he has to decide whether or not “Constantine” fits into his new cinematic universe.
