Netflix: The Last Kingdom, It’s Not Over! The movie that concludes Uhtred’s story is revealed in an epic trailer

A warning to fans of The Last Kingdom, the adventure of its hero Uhtred Bebanburg (Alexander Dreymon) is not quite over. Although the series ended after the fifth season, the adaptation of the literary series Saxon stories Bernard Cornwell ends with… a movie!

Announced and shot last year, this feature film titled Seven Kings Must Die is coming to Netflix soon. And he will come to bring the final conclusion to Uhtred’s story. However, at the end of the 5th season of the series, the hero, who spent his childhood with the Vikings, achieved his goal.

War has been declared in England

The Last Kingdom ends on a happy note and an epic and poignant finale for its hero Uhtred in Bebanburg. With a warm home and worthy protection of his family and people, and established peace between the Danes and Saxons, both parts of his identity, all with the gods’ blessing.

But this fragile balance is called into question as the film opens with the death of King Edward. His throne will obviously have rival heirs and usurpers who will start a merciless war for the crown.

Uhtred will have no choice but to support and go to battle, despite his dreams and ambition to see England united. He will have to contend with Æthelstan, King Edward’s son and rightful heir, who seems to be at odds with Uhtred, who still cared for him.

Director Edward Bazalgetti’s feature film Seven Kings Must Die is expected on Netflix on April 14.
