Teissier is getting closer to the truth about the circle
Good news at the Institute: Axel reveals to Ethan and Jasmine that he’s officially integrated into Armand’s legacy by donating. The young man’s new status, now owning part of the institute, arouses the jealousy of Tom, who believes that Axel will have more access to the world of gastronomy without earning it now that he is a Teissier.- Armand.
Jasmine and Axel overhear his conversation with Billy and are hardly surprised to see that Tom is being true to himself. Axel reminds his friend that he just found out he’s adopted and that the situation is more complicated than that, but Tom doesn’t budge. He is confident that Axel will take the big time. Once Tom leaves, Jasmine tries to reassure her boyfriend: not everyone thinks like Tom. But Bill still advises Axel to arm himself against the people who will talk behind his back.
In class, Louis, assisted by Tom, asked his students to revisit the duck à l’orange recipe. He is quite strict with Billie and worries that the young woman put too many oranges in her dish. Louis then proceeds to make Axel and appreciates his recipe, which is very original to him. Tom can’t scream favoritism, but Louis puts him in his place: even if he’s a freshman, Axel is a lot better than him according to Chef Guinot’s son.
The lesson is interrupted by Theo, who wants to talk to his cousin. He asks Axel to be careful with Louis, and assures him that he can confide in Charlene and him in case of the slightest stress. He adds that Emmanuel is worried about him, but Axel doesn’t want to hear it. Uncle still resents being lied to.
In turn, Teissier, who is trying to keep Clotilde away from the studio, convinces Chef Armand that Chef Mayer absolutely wants to say goodbye to her before leaving the institute. After Clotilde leaves, Emmanuel carefully takes a picture from her recipe book. He then goes to the institute’s secret room and discovers the handwritten rules of the circle. Teissier compares the two writings and realizes that they are identical. So he recently discovered that Clotilda is the founder of the Cercle.
Meanwhile, Axel calls his mother to tell her about Auguste’s inheritance. She confides in Jasmine that Lola was afraid of changing her name. But it won’t be. Axel is going to continue to be called Axel Teysier. No matter what happens, he will remain Philip and Lola’s son. He then thanks Jasmine for being there for him through all the circumstances and once again declares his love for her.
Teissier again confronts Clotilde about Cercle. He admits to her that he knows she set him up. But Clotilde continues to deny. The writings, of course, are similar, but it means nothing to him. She makes Tessier believe it’s all in his head. But Teissier refuses to give up. He makes Clotilda swear that he will not let her go.
Eliot announces his departure from the Institute
Now that she’s reconciled with her father and told him she’s married to Greg, Elliot feels like there’s nothing essential left on her list. Hortense then agrees to let this whole dream story come true. At least for now.
Later, at Double A, Hortense worries about Mr. Clerk, last week’s client who lost his wife. He made a reservation but did not come. He is afraid that he is dead. Elliot decides to call Mr. Clerk to find out what happened to him, and the old man tells him that he is in Buenos Aires. He decided to travel around the world to honor the bucket list he created with his late wife.
Motivated by his desire to enjoy Mr. Clerk’s life, Elliott makes a big announcement to Hortense and Mehdi: he’s going to leave the institute and join Greg in Tokyo. Mehdi thinks it’s absurd to leave the institute months before they graduate, but Elliott feels he doesn’t want to miss out on his life. She adds that she misses Greg so much that she feels half-hearted without him. And that he can’t wait to find it before the end of the year.
Hortense is devastated at the thought of losing her best friend, but she understands Elliot’s decision. Three friends, very sad, hug each other.
Kelly’s birthday is the scene of an awkward reunion
Kelly celebrates her 19th birthday today and confides in Salome, Laetitia and Lionel that she doesn’t want to celebrate the occasion. Salome realizes that it is because of the separation with Thomas and assures her niece that they can make an effort and they are both in the same room. So Kelly agrees to throw a small party for her birthday.
Laetitia, accompanied by Lionel, goes to Thomas to invite him to his daughter’s birthday party. Thomas tries to find out if Gaitan will be there. Laetitia ignores it, but makes her ex think it’s off topic. According to him, he has a lot to do with Thomas Kelly. Therefore, he leaves her no choice and no money to come to the birthday party, which will be held later.
Arriving at the Double A kitchen decorated by Lionel and Laetitia for the party, Thomas and Salome, a little embarrassed, promise to make Kelly’s effort. But in the evening, Thomas loses his temper when he realizes that Salome is talking to Getan on the phone. He gets the impression that he cannot do without a friend, and Salome points out in response that she is really sickly jealous.
Kelly overhears their strained relationship and worries that they can’t spend time together. The two exes apologized. They make an effort. Thomas then suggests that Kelly go open the presents and the party starts again.
