Heat wave in RS and risk of thunderstorms with disturbances in SP

Check the weather conditions across the country this Friday

A low pressure system between Paraná and São Paulo organizes rain clouds. Friday can already start with cloudy skies and rain in São Paulo, Triângulo Mineiro and part of Mato Grosso do Sul. On the other hand, hot and dry air acts in a large part of Rio Grande do Sul and inland from Bahia. Watch out for the heat wave in Rio Grande do Sul in the coming days.

Weather forecast for 03/10/2023 – Friday

South Region

Stable weather prevails in most areas of Rio Grande do Sul this Friday. The National Institute of Meteorology (INMET) has also issued an alert for a heat wave on the western border of the state, where maximum temperatures in the coming days could exceed 40°C. On the other hand, from the coast north of Paraná, including Curitiba, there is a risk of thunderstorms with strong gusts of wind. In the eastern half of Santa Catarina, as well as in Florianópolis and the mountainous region of Bom Jesus (RS), the blows can be quite intense.

Southeast Region

The week ends unstable with rain forecasts from the morning and in Triângulo Mineiro and São Paulo, including the capital São Paulo, where thunderstorms with expected heavy rains, between the afternoon and night, can cause inconvenience. The sun appears all day from Vitória north of Minas Gerais. Fast rain on the south and north coast of Espírito Santo. In the other areas of the south-east of the country, the morning is sunny, but conditions for showers are expected from the afternoon, also in Greater Rio and Belo Horizonte.

Midwest region

Many clouds have formed since Friday morning over the central-north of Mato Grosso do Sul, as well as in Campo Grande, as well as the west and northwest of Mato Grosso, in these areas the rain can also start early. Stable weather with sun, only north of Goiás. In other areas of the Central West Region of Brazil, showers are expected in the afternoon and at night, including Cuiabá, Goiânia and Brasília.

Northeast Region

Warm, dry air continues to predominate in interior Bahia. In Maranhão the weather is more unstable with cloudy skies and rain at various times this Friday on the coast and in the south of the state, as well as in the southwest of Piauí and on the coast of Ceará. Moderate rain is expected in Salvador and Aracaju. Already in João Pessoa and Natal the blows can be hard.

Northern region

Unsettled weather with lots of cloud cover and rain that may occur from Friday morning, in Acre, part of Rondônia, north of Amazonas to Roraima and north-central Pará, including Rio Branco, Porto Velho, Manaus, Boa Vista and Belém . In other areas of the Region, showers are expected mainly in the afternoon, except in the south of Tocantins, where the sun appears throughout the day.

Weather warnings for 03/10/2023 – Friday

Thunderstorm warning on the coast north of Paraná, in São Paulo, Triângulo Mineiro and south of Minas Gerais, south of Goiás, large parts of Mato Grosso do Sul, west of Mato Grosso, large parts of Rondônia and Amazonas, Acre, departs from Roraima, Amapá, Maranhão and the coast of Ceará.

Beware of moderate to heavy rains, with lightning and gusty winds in the eastern half of Santa Catarina, part of the interior of Paraná, south of Mato Grosso do Sul, part of Pará and Maranhão.

Air humidity in a state of attention below 30%, when the ideal for human health would be 60%, in the central-west and south of Rio Grande do Sul and in part of the interior of Bahia.
