Death Invites to Dance (1980)

“This is classic horror, but also incredibly innovative for its time. It was one of the first depictions of a story where you don’t really know who the killer is, which makes it an even worse scenario. The editing, filming and even the acting are really true to their time. I particularly like that.”

Supernatural (2010)

“It was one of the first horror movies I actually saw and… there are some scenes in that movie that stick with me, making me feel like I can still see the red-faced devil wherever I go. James Wan (director) obviously knows what he’s doing in the horror department, but watching this at the age of 12 was traumatizing. I have a lot of admiration for this film.”

Possession (1981)

“I really love Possession. It was actually a recommendation from Mikey Madison on the set of Scream. Not only is it hauntingly beautiful, it’s also unlike anything I’ve seen before. I love watching a movie and feeling some kind of adrenaline – that’s when I feel like it’s done its job, when a movie inspires you and gives you a bunch of ideas.”

The Witch (2015)

“I have a lot of admiration for A Bruxa. Everything about it – the cinematography, the plot, the performances – is high quality and beautifully done. I think it’s a movie I thought about for weeks after watching it. It just never gets old.”

Persona – When Two Women Sin (1966)

“Oh my God, I’ve never seen anything like this before. That movie gave me goosebumps… There are certain scenes where the two main characters’ faces are split, and I just… it’s amazing.”
