West Ham ban fans for snorting cocaine at London stadium

The English team identifies and punishes those involved in a video that has gone viral on social media

OR West Ham has decided to punish the fans identified in a viral video in which they appear sniffing cocaine on the head of a bald fan in the middle of the stands. In the images, a group enjoy putting a white powder on the head of a teammate at the London Stadium, home of the England team. Shortly after, another fan approaches and smells the substance. The club released a statement commenting on the case.

“West Ham are disgusted by the content of the video and have taken swift action to identify the offenders. In line with our zero tolerance policy, the details of the offenders were immediately passed on to the police and all individuals have had their subscriptions suspended and will be unable to enter the London stadium or travel with the club to away matches. Pending our investigation, this could result in offenders being barred indefinitely. There is no place for this type of behaviour.”

David Moyes’ team isn’t having a good time on the pitch. West Ham were knocked out of the FA Cup earlier this month and are battling relegation to the Premier League. The team has 23 points and is back on the field this Sunday to face Aston Villa, precisely at the London Stadium.
