Good news for fans: the Gallo family will be back in early April for a new round of highly anticipated episodes on TF1.
Filmed last summer between Paris and Charente-Maritime, this is us is the 3rd season of the French adaptation, led by Hugo Becker, Camille Louis, Marilou Berry, Guillaume Labbe and Narc’s father, broadcast every Monday at 21:10 on Page One. Starting from April 3.
Directed by Renaud Bertrand and Mathilde Vallée, still overseen by Brigitte Bemoll and Julien Simone, it promises to be shorter than the previous season, with only eight episodes instead of twelve.
Therefore, everything points to the fact that the writers have left out certain elements of the US version of Season 3, even if TF1 and the production do not confirm anything at this time.
But one thing is certain: this new chapter in the adventures of Paul, Florence, Modi, Michael, Matisse and others promises to be rich with twists, drama and emotions once again.
In the footsteps of Paul Gallo’s past
As they celebrate their fortieth anniversary, the trio has reached a turning point in their lives, I promise, during this third season.
Maude wants to start a family, but her desire for a child could have serious consequences for her health and that of Tanguy (Mark Riso). Moreover, this desire appears at the very moment when her singing career is finally about to take off.
In turn, Michael gets closer to Estelle (Sarah Martins), Agnes’s (Leonie Simaga) cousin, whom he met at his sister’s wedding. However, he is unable to solve her secret and is quickly captivated by her blossoming feelings.
As for Mathis, he begins a new professional adventure thanks to a meeting with Emil, a young navigator who does not cause a stir in his couple.
The still vivid memory of their father Paul, who died 23 years earlier, will help them make crucial choices for the future and in turn pass on the legacy he left behind. Discovering that Paul has been lying to her all her life, Florence tries in retrospect to better understand the man she loved so much. Thus, the season will immerse us with them in the hidden past of this extraordinary person and gradually reveal his secrets.
In terms of new faces, I promise to welcome Constance Dole (and The Mountain Blooms) as Carol, who is none other than Agnes’ mother.
While Adil Dehbi, recently seen in Toulouse-Lautrec at the Lycee on TF1, will lend his qualities to Emile, a young man who is to have a significant impact on the lives of Matisse and his family.
See you on Monday, April 3 at 21:10 on TF1 to discover the sequel to The Promise, the first two seasons of which are available for streaming on the Disney+ platform.
