Famous for his mythical role as Morpheus in The Matrix, Laurence Fishburne will soon return to work opposite Keanu Reeves in the fourth part of the John Wick saga, which is scheduled to hit our cinemas on March 22.
Interview in this case by Comicbook.com The Phase Zero PodcastThe comedian spoke briefly about his tastes in pop culture and specified which franchises he particularly liked.
“I’m an MCU fan. I love the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”He said before hinting that he really wanted to join the adventure. However, as fans of the franchise know, this has already been done since the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp in 2018, where Laurence Fishburne played Dr. Bill Foster, a famous scientist who receives a visit from Scott Lang and his teammates.
“Although I would love to be a part of it , I’m also happy to be a fan and look forward to future releases. I was in Atlanta and I heard they were planning another Captain America. I say: ‘Yes! go!'”
Could it be that, despite his enthusiasm, the actor simply forgot his role, albeit quite insignificant, in front of the heroes of Ant-Man and the Wasp? Anyway, and even if he’s not playing a villain or a superhero, Laurence Fishburne is officially part of the MCU as of 2018.
The actor is not the only one who “forgot” his role in the franchise. Indeed, in 2019 we learned that Gwyneth Paltrow (aka Pepper Potts) also didn’t know she appeared in the credits of Spider-Man: Homecoming. However, we can assume that his very brief sequence at the end of the film was filmed during another Marvel shoot.
