The protagonists of the first season of ‘True Detective’ will work together again in a comedy for Apple TV +
While we wait for season 4 of ‘True Detective’, the long-awaited return of Jodie Foster to the thriller that has all the ballots to be among the best HBO series in 2023, Apple TV+ has announced a new series with the stars of the multi-award winning first season of the show, Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelsonalthough this time they will work together in a comedy.
The Apple TV+ series, still untitled, will consist of 10 episodes lasting approximately half an hour and both McConaughey and Harrelson will play a version of themselves. In real life, the couple have been best friends for years, but the series will put that friendship to the test when their families try to live together and scramble on Matthew’s ranch in Texas. The official synopsis describes the series as “a heartfelt love story of an odd couple revolving around the strange and beautiful bond between Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.”
The couple have been working together on various film and television projects for decades. The first season of ‘True Detective’ was far from the first time the two had collaborated, having also appeared on ‘Welcome to Hollywood’ (1998), ‘EDtv’ (1999) and ‘Surfer Dude’ (2008).

However ‘True Detective’ will continue its path with new protagonistslike every season, and this time with a luxury addition: Jodie Fosterwhich will return to the genre that made it popular all over the world with ‘The Silence of the Lambs’. The fourth season of the detective series will be set in Ennis, Alaska, where the night can last more than 24 hours. Six men disappear without a trace at Tsalal, the Arctic research station, and researchers Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (the boxing champion kali reis) will face ice and darkness to try to clarify the facts.
