He may not have won an Oscar this past weekend, but Barry Keoghan sees no slowdown in his career momentum. Second cursed giant robot (whose story was later confirmed by the main trade magazines), is now in talks to join Ridley Scott Gladiator continuation.
Assuming he strikes a deal, Keoghan will join fellow Oscar nominee Paul Mescal in the film, which Scott is preparing to continue the story of his 2000 epic.
Years after the events of this film, you will find Mescal playing an adult version of the Lucius character, as brought to life by Spencer Treat Clark in the original. Keoghan is in line to be the main antagonist, the Roman Emperor Geta (a fictional version of a real ruler).
David Scarpa is behind the script, and the ever-prolific Scott is looking to get it out in theaters by Nov. 22 next year.
